‘Game Of Thrones’ Named The Most Pirated Show Of The Year; Actor John Bradley Gives His Opinion On Its Popularity

HBO’s Game of Thrones ranked first as the most illegally downloaded show of this year. Actor John Bradley, who plays ‘nice guy’ Samwell Tarly on the fantasy drama gives his opinion what makes the fans so attracted with the show.

TIME reported that the series from HBO is the most illegally downloaded TV program in 2016, it finished above ‘The Walking Dead‘ and ‘Westworld‘ which were the second and third most pirated shows of 2016. It appeared that fans were all roused by the news that Kit Harington was seen on the set of season 6 despite the fact that his character, Jon Snow, died in the last episode of season 5.

In his interview with Digital Spy, John Bradley, the actor who portrays fan-favorite Samwell Tarly, said that what gets  people’s attention is the show’s mysterious ending. Everyone wants to know who would end up on the Iron Throne and who would reign in the kingdom of Westeros.


“It’s interesting thinking about the end of Game of Thrones,” he said. “Because we don’t know how it ends – we don’t know who wins or who loses – we’ve got no idea what kind of story we’re telling.


“We don’t know if it’s an indictment of how bad people can triumph if good men do nothing, or a redemptive story about good triumphing over evil. We just don’t know, so that mystery has fed in to everything we’ve done so far.” John said
