Every ‘Game Of Thrones’ season 8 episode could be feature length 80+ minutes

Recent news suggests that every episode of the final season of HBO fantasy ‘Game Of Thrones’ could essentially be a movie.

Seasons ago, when asked about a ‘GoT’ movie, showrunners David Benioff and D. B. Weiss declared that it wasn’t a bad idea. They won’t be making a movie, but they could make some season 8 episodes as long as one!

When it was announced that the final season would only consist of 6 episodes, contrary to the usual 10 (and season 7 with seven episodes), fans were left really disappointed. It might not be as bad as you may have first thought as the shows sound designer Paula Fairfield suggested that all six episodes in the final season could clock over 80 minutes. The season 7 finale will last 82 minutes.

This wouldn’t make GoT the only show to air extra-long episodes. We have also seen it work with Sherlock and Black Mirror. Just last week, Sense8 announced that it will air a two-hour finale next year.

‘Game Of Thrones’ will also be returning to Comic-con this year on July 21st as well as HBO’s other massive show ‘Westworld’, which will be making its debut. Be sure to follow us to keep updated on what happens!
