One of the most popular Netflix Original’s ‘Orange Is The New Black’ looks increasingly likely to come to an end after season 7. Its been a great run for a fantastic show that’s deserved every season its been given from Netflix.
There has been no verbal announcement from Netflix deeming the show as cancelled, but with the creator Jenji Kohan seemingly un-motivated to create a season 8, it’s not looking good. However, there is hope as in her interview with NY Times she didn’t completely rule it out. She said:
“I haven’t made a final decision yet, but I’m leaning toward ending it after seven — although the nature of the show is one that can go on and on because you can bring in new people.”
She also revealed that she has a good ending and that she will not reveal any details of it.
“I think [I know how it ends]. And I will not share it.”
There’s definitely a lot of story that could be told should it be renewed for an eighth season. Were not quite going to call it ‘Cancelled’ yet, especially after the recent revival of ‘Sense8‘, but at the moment it is fair to say that it looks unlikely to return for a season 8..
