‘Game Of Thrones’ Actress Maisie Williams Talks ‘That’ Season 7 Opening Scene

After all the waiting ‘Game Of Thrones’ season 7 is finally upon us. From the opening scene we got a shock in seeing Arya single-handedly killing most of House Frey.

It really was the sweetest revenge. Arya’s power meant that she could steal Walder Frey’s face and use it to impersonate him after she murdered him in season 6 prior to baking his sons into  pie. Stealing Walder Frey’s face, she could use this do deceive everyone else and kill them.

Actress Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark spoke with EW.com after the season 7 premiere ‘Dragonstone’ released. She mentioned this surprise scene. Read what she said below:

“When I heard first heard about the Faceless Men, I always thought it would be really cool if she switched faces with a leading character rather than an unknown person’s face. I really hope [viewers] don’t guess it’s her straight away.”

Maisie used the term ‘Monster’ to describe what her character Arya has turned into. From the fans point of view she is ‘A good monster’, as she’s avenged the Red Wedding and is on her way to kill Cersei, so she thinks.

“Even Arya is surprised she has so much power. In that last moment she’s staring out at all those men dying, she’s turned into a bit more of a monster than she’s ever realized. I don’t think she’s sad about that but she’s got it on her mind.”

‘Game Of Thrones’ season 7 releases Sunday’s at 9PM in USA and 2AM in UK.
