This post will contain spoilers from ‘Game Of Thrones’ season 7 episode 7 ‘The Dragon and the Wolf’ – You have been warned!
The season 7 finale of ‘Game Of Thrones’ had everything from huge plot twists to great action scenes and even a huge death.
The epidode saw the death of the slimy Petyr Baelish and the fall of the Wall from the Ice Dragon. Winter arrived in King’s Landing and Cersei tricked Daenerys. Jon Snow’s real name was revealed. There is so much more that we’ll be explaining in full in a new post in the near future- stay tuned for that!
Already fans have speculated season 8 and what might happen in the six-episode season, and in a recent interview actor Kit Harrington shared his thoughts, saying it’s going to be a bloodbath, as we all expect. The Jon Snow actor hailed this seasons tempo, he called it a “fast-paced, incredibly adrenaline-filled season where everyone meets, and a lot of things happen, and the dragons go batshit crazy.”
Obviously it will be a while before Kit and the rest of the Thrones cast will recieve the official scripts, but it’s always nice to hear the opinions of the cast – read what he teased about season 8 below:
“I hope that instead of it being a slow roller coaster, I think that they’ll have enjoyed the pace that it’s picked up on, and then they’ll now know what they’re in for for the last one. They’ll now be used to this Thrones, which is a slightly different Thrones, but one where it always had to end. It had to end on this massive level.”
“They’re going to go, and they’re going to go fast, and I think that the payoff of our characters not being in great peril this year will be that, next year, it’s going to be a bloodbath.”
We’re all expecting a huge bloodbath in the coming Great War against the White Walkers who now have an Ice Dragon. Once again, there are so many unanswered questions.
Stay tuned because we’ll be releasing a complete GAME OF THRONES season 7 breakdown soon!
