‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 8 Casting Begins With A Northern Boy And Girl

We’ve got our first official ‘Game Of Thrones’ season 8 news. HBO have released a casting call for two young actors, who will portray a northern boy and girl in the final season of the fantasy show.

As we all know, we have already got a young northern girl in the show as Lyanna Mormont (who instantly became a fan-favorite). What’s interesting about this casting call is that the role description almost mirrors Lyanna’s character, they are asking for a girl around the age of 8 [up to 10]. In the roles description, the character has been brought up in a family of soldiers and shares their fearlessness. The part will be a “very nice stand-out part for a strong-minded young girl with a fighting spirit.” – sound like anyone?

As for the boy character, the show is searching for an actor aged 8 to 12 who must be physically fit for the role. They will have an agile look and will be someone with a good, distinctive face. He’s described as being from a poor background, a boy who has to fight to make his way in the world. Do you think these two characters will be connected, or even related in some way? Given what has been said, the boy will have a a bigger role in the show that the girl. Reading some fan theories that have emerged online after this news, people have been speculating that the boy could be a young version of Varys, or even Littlefinger. We’ve seen this before with Ned Stark and Jon Snow so it’s possible.
