Amazon WILL Make TV Adaptation Of ‘Lord of the Rings’ With ‘Multiple’ Seasons & Spin-Off

A week ago there was a large speculation that Amazon would adapt ‘Lord of the Rings’ for TV, but we can now confirm that it will happen.

Many consider the movie trilogy to be perfection, but it seems to Amazon that isn’t enough so they will create a multiple season TV show and try to fill the gap left by HBO drama Game of Thrones, which is fast approaching an end.

In the Press Release released by Amazon, they claim that they are committed to produce many seasons. The deal also includes a potential additional spin-off series. The series will air exclusively on Amazon Prime. As expected, the show will explore all story-lines, before the Fellowship of the Ring.
