Ian McKellen Would Return As Gandalf For The ‘Lord Of The Rings’ TV Series
There can be only one person to play Gandalf, and that is Sir Ian McKellen.
With Amazon currently well under way in developing their multi-season Lord of the Rings TV series in an attempt to fill the gap left by Game of Thrones, Sir Ian McKellen has spoken out about the show, and how he would happily return to his role of Gandalf again.
The 78 year old actor is well known for his portrayal of Gandalf in the ‘Lord Of The Rings’ trilogy and, in a recent interview he stated that given the opportunity, he would return to his character. When asked by Digital Spy about the prospect of a new Gandalf, McKellen jokingly replied: “What do you mean, another Gandalf?”
