Narcos Star Leaves The Show For Season 4; With Two New Stars Coming In

Narcos is undergoing a huge cast shake-up for season 4, seeing fan-favorites go and new stars join.

In season 4 of the Netflix original drama, you’ll find that the notable absentee will be Pedro Pascal. The former Game Of Thrones star portrayed Javier Peña, a DEA agent who was tasked with Pablo Escobar in the first two seasons and then the Cali Cartel in season 3. Netflix this week confirmed he won’t play a part. When asked about Pascal’s role in season 4, the Narcos showrunner said: “I’m confirming that it’s not about him.”

It’s not all bad however, as we’ve got two fantastic actors entering the screen for season 4. The two new stars will be: Michael Peña, who is best known for Ant Man & Diego Luna, who was in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. These to actors will have lead roles in season 4.

Showrunner Eric Newman has claimed that there will be a whole new cast for season 4. Read what he tole THR below:

It’s almost an entirely new group with some overlap and hopefully a few surprises.

Production for season 4 is well underway, with the crew having filmed the first two episodes.
