‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ Dominating The Holiday Box Office

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is without doubt ruling the box office for the festive period, followed by Jumanji reboot.

In terms of numbers, The Last Jedi  has gained the accolade of being the second greatest domestic debut of all time. It is also the fifth-biggest worldwide film opening since 2002. It has a domestic total of cerca $397.3 million through Christmas Day. The fantasy movie is also on track to add in the region of $75.1 million from foreign markets through Sunday, bringing its worldwide total to a whopping $745.4 million after 10 days in theaters.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi received great reviewed, including a 92% on Rotten Tomatoes & 7.6/10 on IMDb.

In a not-do-close second place, above Pitch Perfect 3 and The Greatest Showman comes Jumanji, which has also gotten great reviews from critics since its release, driving people to cinemas where it welcomed $49.5 million worth of moviegoers in 53 international markets this weekend. Taking advantage of the holiday season, the Jake Kasdan-directed film was No. 1 in 28 markets where it faced off with Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
