Ridley Scott Wants Another ‘Blade Runner’ Movie

Blade Runner 2049 was the sequel to the original 1982 movie we were all waiting for, but could there be another sequel in the making for the science-fiction franchise?

Without doubt, Blade Runner 2049 was one of the best movies of 2017, bringing one of the most immersive and visually stunning spectacles we’ve recently seen.

Despite receiving great reviews from fans, Blade Runner 2049 didn’t perform anywhere near as well as was expected in the Box Office, with the film generating $259 million worldwide. This figure seems great, but when you consider that the huge production accounted for a cerca $150 million budget, as well as advertising, Warner Bros didn’t make close to what they wanted from this movie.

Despite the disappointment in terms of revenue, producer Ridley Scott still believes there is life in the franchise, he said this whilst talking about his new movie All the Money in the World. Read what he said below:

“I hope so, I think there is another story. I’ve got another one ready to evolve and be developed, so there is certainly one to be done for sure.”

At the moment, the idea of a third installment is entirely possible, but it all lies on whether Warner Bros see a profitable future in the franchise. They will not go and create a new mega high budget movie if just Ridley Scott wants to do it, though that is the first step.
