‘Stranger Things’ Season 3 News: New ‘Evil Forces’ And Keeping Will Safe

‘Stranger Things’ won’t arrive until 2019 but that won’t stop us talking about it every day. Producer Shaun Levy has recently teased us about season 3 and most excitingly about a brand new villain. He even hinted that Will Byers will be kept safer this season.

Stranger Things To Have Season 3 On Netflix
Stranger Things season 3 is set to return in 2019.

As mentioned above, Stranger Things 3 will feature a entirely new villain, despite fans thinking that season 3 will revolve around the Mind Flayer, as was teased in the very final scene of season 2. When producer Shaun Levy was asked by Glamour if the Mind Flayer would play a pivotal arch-villain role in season 3, Levy replied: “You might assume that but you would probably end up being wrong. We’re dealing with forces of evil that are new.”

It’s definitely very exciting to know that the Netflix show will be taking us in a new direction next season, deviating from the Mind-Flayer (which will obviously play a big role, just not as big as we may think) and taking us to what Levy teases as ‘Forces of Evil.’

So far in Stranger Things in terms of enemies we’ve had the Demogorgon in season one, which was killed in the finale by Eleven. In season 2 the scale upped even further with the much larger and sinister enemy which was nicknamed the Mind-Flayer by the kids. Also in season 2 we had the smaller and much easier to kill Demogorgon’s which Dustin nicknamed Demodogs. All we know about season 3 is that the new enemy will be Forces of EvilAny theories?

Shaun Levy also said that season 3 will see Will Byers kept safer than other seasons, as the first two seasons centered around Will and his connection to the Upside Down. Read what Shaun Levy said below:

“We’re going to give Will a break. We’re not going to put Will through hell for a third season in a row. He’ll be dealing with stuff, but he won’t be at rock bottom the way we forced the amazing Noah Schnapp to play.”

Do you have any theories about Stranger Things? We would love to hear them!
