Wesley Snipes is still interested in the continuation of the Blade franchise, and insists he is still ‘Very Much Open’ to reprising his role should the opportunity arise.
The first Blade movie in the trilogy released back in 1998, with the second arriving in 2002 and Blade: Trinity finally releasing in 2004, that would make a new movie release at least fourteen years after the last, do you think this franchise should make a surprise return? There was a TV series of Blade created by David S. Goyer, but the viewership wasn’t enough to keep it on the air and it was soon cancelled after one season.
In December 2017, the 55-year-old actor Tweeted saying he is the only one who can play Blade in the movies, following rumors that a reboot could have another actor playing the role Snipes made his own. See the Tweet for yourself below:

When he was more recently interviewed by THR, actor Wesley Snipes insisted he’s still very much down for the opportunity to reprise his role as Blade in a potential (but unlikely) Blade 4. He also expressed a desire to portray other Marvel characters too.
“I am very much open to all of the possibilities,” he said. “If Blade 4 comes along, that is a conversation we can have. And there are other characters in the Marvel universe that, if they want to invite me to play around with, I am with that too. I think the fans have a hunger for me to revision the Blade character, so that could limit where they could place me as another character in that universe.”
With Blade is now back home at Marvel, president of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige has said there’s no plan to put Blade into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but you never know what might happen.
